Travel Mafia (travelmafia.eu) is a travel deal platform launching soon across Europe. We offer the cheapest rates on hotels, restaurants, spas, and experiences through direct partnerships. For privacy questions, contact us at travelmafiaeu@proton.me.
What we collect and why
Contact details (giveaway & newsletter sign-up)
When you enter our launch giveaway or subscribe to launch updates, we collect your email address, phone number, and Telegram username. We use these to:
- Send you launch updates and exclusive deals via email (through Beehiiv)
- Contact giveaway winners by DM on Telegram
- Announce winners publicly in our Telegram community
Technical signals (giveaway entries only)
In addition to your contact details, each giveaway submission also records your IP address and browser user-agent string.
We collect IP and user-agent solely to detect duplicate entries, automated bots, and fraudulent submissions. These signals are never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. They are automatically removed within 30 days after the giveaway draw concludes — only your contact details remain after that point.
No cookies, no tracking pixels
travelmafia.eu does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection on our form) operates under Cloudflare's own privacy policy and does not set persistent tracking cookies.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your data under the following GDPR lawful bases:
- Consent — you voluntarily submit your details to enter the giveaway and receive updates. You can withdraw consent at any time (see below).
- Legitimate interests — IP address and user-agent are processed to protect the integrity of the giveaway against automated abuse.
How long we keep your data
- IP address & user-agent — deleted within 30 days after the giveaway draw (target: 5 July 2026).
- Email, phone, Telegram — retained for as long as you are subscribed to Travel Mafia updates. You can request deletion at any time.
Who we share data with
We share your data only with the services that power Travel Mafia:
- Beehiiv — email newsletter platform. Receives your email address to deliver launch updates. Beehiiv Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — database platform where giveaway entries are stored. Data is stored on Supabase-managed servers within the EU. Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Google Cloud — our application runs on Google App Engine (EU region). Google Cloud Privacy Notice.
- Cloudflare — provides bot protection (Turnstile) and DNS. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.
Your rights (GDPR)
As an EU resident you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Deletion — ask us to erase your data. We will comply within 30 days.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us directly.
To exercise any right: email travelmafiaeu@proton.me with the subject line "Privacy Request". We respond within 30 days.
Security
Giveaway entries are stored in a private database with row-level security enabled — only our backend service can read or write entries. API keys are never exposed to the browser. All traffic is encrypted in transit via TLS.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes affecting giveaway data, we will notify entrants by email.
