Parador de Monforte de Lemos

In the highest part of the city of Lugo de Monforte de Lemos stands the monumental complex of San Vicente do Pino, dating from the 9th century and composed of the keep, the monastery of San Vicente do Pino and the palace of the Counts of Lemos. There is also the Parador de Monforte, a 17th-century Benedictine monastery in neoclassical style, with a central neoclassical stone cloister, which offers the greatest architectural interest of the monument. The monastery was transformed, after restoration, into a 50-room hotel arranged around the central cloister and an annex building called Casa del Monte fuerte. On the restaurant side, Enxebre, the exceptional cuisine of Galicia is celebrated, a region that stands out above all for its gastronomy thanks to the high quality of its products.
