Parador de Hondarribia

Founded by the Navarrese king Sancho Abarca in the 10th century, the Parador de Hondarribia stands atop a beautiful castle that preserves the structure of an authentic medieval fortress in a monumental and coastal setting, on the estuary of the Bidasoa river. Its defensive appearance, with thick walls, conceals a masterfully renovated interior.
